Fallsview Casino Resort — full review

Last revision · fact check

Ask Canadians to name a casino hotel and most will say Fallsview. It earns that with 372 guest rooms aimed at the falls, over 3,200 slots and 110 tables, a pair of theatres (the bigger one seats 5,000) and 20-plus restaurants. Nowhere else in the country fits this much under one roof — let alone with Niagara outside the window.

Book it for: A self-contained weekend: view, headliner and gaming floor without moving the car.
Pass if: You live for buffets, or your under-12s want to swim unsupervised — they need a parent poolside.

Why the view is the product

Most casino resorts sell the gaming and throw in a bed. Fallsview flips that. Its 372 guest rooms and suites were, in the resort's words, designed for views — of Horseshoe Falls, of the American Falls, of the town, or of several at once. Underneath: 200,000 sq ft of gaming with over 3,200 slots and 110 tables, plus two theatres and 20-plus restaurants. Leave the car in the garage; there is no reason to drive anywhere until checkout.

Picking your room

Standard Deluxe keys face Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls or the skyline. Beds: one king, two queens or two doubles. You also get a lounge corner with a writing desk, a coffee maker, a safe, an iron and a hairdryer. Fair warning from the resort's own FAQ — "falls view" can mean one falls or both, depending on the room. If scenery is the whole point, book the category deliberately and ask them to confirm the view when you reserve.

Suites go five ways. Diplomat: curved along the outside of the tower, panoramic falls or city outlook, whirlpool tub. Parlour: American Falls view, pull-out sofa, extra TV. Executive: partial falls view, separate bedroom. Ambassador and Premier: falls-facing with a separate bedroom, and in the Premier's case full living and dining rooms plus an oversized bath.

Check-in 4 pm, checkout 11 am. Room service has two windows: mornings 7–11, evenings 6–11.

The 19+ floor

Bring ID; the floor is 19-plus, and the resort spells out that strollers and babes in arms stay off it. Drinks come from the Infinity Bar out on the floor, 9 am to 1:50 am. The loyalty card is Mohegan's Momentum — Core (free to join), then Ignite, Leap, Ascend, Soar. Reach Ignite and casino parking is on the house; below that, you pay whatever the resort charges on the day.

Two stages, 320-plus shows

This is where Fallsview leaves most competitors behind. The OLG Stage seats 5,000 with, says the resort, no seat beyond 150 feet, and it quotes Billboard naming it Canada's number-one venue in the 2,501–5,000 capacity bracket. The Avalon Theatre is the smaller sibling: 1,559 seats, none more than 100 feet back. Together they host 320-plus shows a year, by the resort's count. December visitors: Niagara Falls Tourism has Christmas On Ice playing the Avalon November 26 – December 20, 2026, 32 shows in its 14th season.

Where to eat

Book 21 Club Steak & Seafood for the splurge or Ponte Vecchio for Italian — both pages carry OpenTable's "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants 2026" badge. Cantonese is Golden Lotus; there's also a Noodle Bar, a Sushi & Oyster Bar, The Falls Deli, and Bar Barista (espresso by day, cocktails by night). The Galleria adds Lucky's, a Niagara Brewing Company taproom, Vittorio's, Paramount Fine Foods and Shoeless Joe's. Two caveats: no buffet right now, and Dragonfly, the nightclub, is closing after almost 20 years, with an as-yet-unnamed concept to follow.

Pool and Damara Day Spa

The indoor pool runs 7 am to 10 pm, and you'll need that day's access key; kids under 12 swim only with a parent. Gym hours: 7 am to 9 pm. Spa treatments come from Damara Day Spa — a tourism ticket listing shows $158 for a relaxation massage.

Getting to Niagara

Toronto: 90 minutes, says the resort. Buffalo: 45. Pearson: about 125 km. Weekend and holiday GO trains link Union Station with Niagara Falls, and a free Fallsview–Casino Niagara shuttle loops every 30 minutes, 4 pm to 12:45 am, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and show days. The garage fits 3,000-plus cars and has ten EV chargers (P1 has four, P5 six). Pets: certified service animals only.

Our take

One casino hotel in Canada? Make it Fallsview — and pay for the view, not just a bed. Choose a falls-facing room, build your dates around the show schedule, and get a Momentum card before you arrive by car, since parking is where costs creep up.

Traveller questions, answered

Does every Fallsview room look at the falls?

No — some face the city. Among falls-view rooms, the resort says some take in both falls and some only one, so pick the category with care and have the view confirmed.

Can I eat at a buffet at Fallsview?

Not currently: the dining page says the resort isn't running a buffet.

Are children allowed at Fallsview Casino Resort?

Yes, everywhere except the 19+ casino floor. Under-12s need a parent with them at the pool.
