Funding and partners: the disclosure file
File date · sources re-read
Disclosure file: who can pay Canadian Casino Resorts, for what, and what payment can never change.
01 — Casino operators' affiliate programmes
Buttons on the ten-category casino list and on the newcomers page are designed to carry referral links. If a reader registers through one and plays, the operator behind that site may pay the guide a commission — a one-off fee or a revenue share, as that programme defines it. A disclosure note sits beside every block of those buttons.
02 — Hotel booking partners
Every resort dossier has a "Room availability & rates" button. Where a booking partner's link has been set, the button is captioned partner link, and a reservation made through it may pay the guide a commission. Where none has been set, the button opens the resort's own booking page and pays nothing.

- Resort buttons
- 0 of 12 use a booking-partner link
- Casino buttons
- 0 of 15 use an operator referral link
Every other button points to the resort's or operator's own page, or stays inside this guide.
03 — What is not for sale
- Letter grades and positions in the resort ratings — both follow mechanically from the six weighted criteria on the rating system page.
- A place in the directory, a province file or an idea list.
- Copy approval: no resort, operator or partner sees a dossier before publication.
04 — Gambling responsibly
Casino play is restricted to adults — the provincial threshold of 19 (lowered to 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Québec) applies online exactly as on the floor. Decide the amount before the session and stop when it is spent; provincial helplines are free and listed on gambling help.
