The six criteria and their weights

From numbers to letters

Each criterion is scored 0–10; the weighted total is expressed out of 100 and converted to a letter. Thresholds: 92 and up earns A+; 88 earns A; 85, A−; 82, B+; 78, B; 74, B−; 70, C+; 65, C; 60, C−. The number stays in brackets beside the letter, so two resorts with the same letter can still be told apart.

Sourcing

Order of trust: the hotel's and casino operator's own sites; then provincial tourism boards and hotel-brand pages; then press and Wikipedia, always named. Conflicting sources (Hilton Lac-Leamy's room count, say) get both numbers printed. Unpublished facts are marked as such, never guessed. Facts for this edition: verified October 23, 2026; new-openings page, October 28, 2026.

Method note: this edition is desk research. No overnight stays were made; every dossier is compiled from published material.

Money

Funding comes from referral commissions: casino operators' affiliate programmes (the buttons on this guide's two online-casino pages) and, once set up, from hotel booking partners ("Room availability & rates" buttons on each dossier). Grades are computed from the six criteria above and nothing else; a commission cannot add a letter. Full account: funding and partners.
