Ontario's casino resorts: five properties on file

File date · sources re-read

No province has more casino resorts than Ontario, or more kinds of them: falls-view towers in Niagara, a riverside resort opposite Detroit, a 2023 complex next to Woodbine in Toronto, the Hard Rock in Ottawa, where everyone must be 19, and a lake-district resort near Orillia. OLG runs every casino in the province, the AGCO regulates them, and entry is 19+.

  1. 01

    Fallsview Casino Resort A+(92.8/100)

    Niagara Falls · Ontario · 372 keys · opened 2004

Ask Canadians to name a casino hotel and most will say Fallsview. The case for it: 372 rooms pointed at the falls, more than 3,200 slots with 110 tables, two theatres (5,000 seats in the larger) and over twenty restaurants. No other Canadian property packs this much into one building — let alone with Niagara outside the window.

  2. 02

    Caesars Windsor A(88.3/100)

    Windsor · Ontario · 758 keys · opened 1998

Biggest hotel in our guide, full stop: 758 rooms in two towers, most looking over the Detroit River at the Detroit skyline. Then there's the Colosseum — 5,000 seats, none more than 225 feet out — and a floor with 2,000-plus slots and 80-plus tables, right downtown instead of out by a highway exit.

On file: 400 rooms, a 5,000-capacity theatre, pool plus sauna and steam, free parking and a complimentary airport shuttle from Pearson. The operator says no Canadian casino carries more slot machines.

    Rama (Orillia) · Ontario · 289 keys · opened 1996

Casino Rama, on Rama First Nation land near Orillia, is midway through its most significant upgrade in years — rooms redone from 2025, a fresh ground-floor spa, and three new restaurants including Gateway's Atlas Steak and Fish. The 5,000-plus-seat Entertainment Centre keeps headliners driving up the 400.
